He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Boatwright and Clara Rainey Boatwright; his daughter Crystal Boatwright; and his siblings, Fred Boatwright, Jerry Boatwright and Ommie Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Boatwright; his daughter Renee'Boatwright-Rieger (John); his brother Billy Boatwright (Linda); and his pet John, Jr..
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bass Cauthen Funeral Home (700 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29730).
