We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2024, at the age of 82, Red Ross of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Carrabelle, Florida passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Red Ross to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Miley and Annie Watson Miley; his wife Dorothy Lee Ross; his children, Linda Faye Peek and Billy June Blackwelder; his grandson Ian Stroud; and his great grandchild Junior Sexton.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Estes of Rock Hill, SC, Carl Wesley Blackwelder (Theresa) of Chester, SC, Donald Ray Blackwelder (Charlene) of Georgia, Jane Curlee (Mickey) of Salisbury, NC and Sue Stroud of Roanoke, VA; and his sister Aleta Baker (Kenny). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Red's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
