He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldington Augustus Thompson and Bonnie Lee Hill Thompson; and his brothers, Tommy Jamieson, Larry Thompson (Linda), Tony Thompson (Cindy) and Monty Thompson (Gail).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Faye Shoemake Thomspon of Rock Hill, SC; his daughter Angela Smith (Blake) of Catawba, SC; his grandchildren, Skylar Craig (Justin) and Conner Smith of Catawba, SC; his great grandchild Emily Craig of Catawba, SC; and his brother Randy Thompson (Sara) of Rock Hill, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
