He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lowder and Clara Deese Lowder; and his siblings, Frances, Marie and Jerry.
He is survived by: his wife Frankie Roach Lowder; his children, Karen Willson (Paul) of Rock Hill, Rayford "Ray" F. Lowder, Jr. (Ginny) of Rock Hill and Darryl Lowder of Rock Hill; his grandsons, Bryan Lowder, Kyle Lowder, Grant Willson, Zack Willson and Burt Ferguson; and his siblings, Patricia, Phyllis, Betty, Robert, Jack, Ricky, Wayne, Billy Ray and Jesse. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
