She was predeceased by: her parents, Norma Louise (Charles-Craft) and William Coltrane Cannon, Sr.; her husband Jim; her sister Harriet Cannon Crawford; and her brother-in-law Olin "Buddy" Leatherman.
She is survived by: her sons, James "Jim" R. Whitley, Jr. (Karen), William "Bill" Cannon Whitley (LeeAnne) and Charles "Charlie" Craft Whitley, Sr. (Ali); her grandchildren, Emily (Peter), James (Victoria), Joseph (Phoebe), Will (Abbey), Maggie (Michael), John, Chase, Shaw, Wyatt (Brendan), Wynne, Davis (Lynn), Stella and Fitch; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Louisa and Crewe; and her siblings, Margaret (Barney), Mary Bost (Michael), Winslow and Bill (Ann).
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (471 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025).
