He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Adam Summerlin and Cora Lee Barber Summerlin; and his sister Sally Summerlin Green. He is survived by: his wife Ann Vaughn Summerlin of Rock Hill; his brothers, Larry Richard Summerlin (Jan) of Fuquay Varina, NC and James Mitchell "Mick" Summerlin (Carolyn) of Denver, NC; his children, Derek Summerlin of Swans Island, Gina Summerlin Saftner (Mark Ledford) of York, SC. and Jesse Summerlin of Swans Island, Maine; his grandchildren, Maybre Osborne (Kyle), Jackson Saftner, Croix Summerlin, River Summerlin and Pace Summerlin; and his great grandchildren, Summy Osborne and Aggie Osborne.
