He was predeceased by: his parents, James Maxwell "Pete" Deese and Gertie Bigham Deese. He is survived by: his wife Mary Miller Deese; his children, Nikki Howard (Buster) and Michael Deese (Kristen); and his grandchildren, Cadence Deese, Luke Howard, Skylar Deese, Layla Howard, Brayden Deese and Lainey Howard. He is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews.
