He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Ewing and Maxine Hughes Ewing. He is survived by: his significant other Donna McFadden Trader; his stepson Dru Trader (Rhonda); his siblings, Jim Ewing (Wanda), Rita Hardin (David) and Connie Horton (Jeff); his grandchildren, Chase Martin (Ben) and Drake Trader (Emma); and his siblings-in-law, Ronda Deese (Steve), Pam Amerson, Cathy Baker (Jim), Lisa Robinson (Eddie) and Robby McFadden. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a hospice of one's choice.
