We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2024, at the age of 88, Mary Helen M. Sweatt of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Great Falls, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Maree and Addie Demby; her husband James Walter Sweatt; and her sons, Edward David Burris and Ronnie Odell Burris.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Johnnie Burris of Edgemoor, SC; her grandchildren, Stanley Spruill, Letitia Burris Boone (William), Ronnie Matthew Burris and Billy Joe Burris (Amy); and her caregiver Aide. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mary Helen M. Sweatt's name to New Hope Baptist Church, 875 Neelys Creek Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29730.
