She was predeceased by: her parents, John Elim Ford and Hattie Belle Melton Ford; her husbands, Karl Bigham Barnes and Robert Eugene Martin; her siblings, Edrie Ford Parrish and Tyler Melton Ford; her nephew Stephen M. Ford; and her niece Janice Parrish Skaggs.
She is survived by: her son Karl Brian Barnes of Polk City, Florida; her nephew Gary Skaggs of Rock Hill; her niece Lorraine Parrish Herwig of Alberta, Canada; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kenny Skaggs, Christy Skaggs Case, Brooke Herwig, Lars Herwig, Taylor Skaggs-Ambrose, Caroline Skaggs and Jacob Lawrence.
