He is survived by: his mother Rhoda Byrd; his son Brad Byrd (Margo Byrd); his grandchildren, Charlie and Avery; his daughter Erin Kosovan (Ivan Kosovan); his grandchildren, Ava, Ruth Ellis and Luca; his brother Michael Byrd (Debbie Byrd); his nieces and nephews, Jonathan (Megan) and Sydnee; and his close friend Lisa Tompkins.
In lieu of flowers, a link will be provided for donations to The Sarge Byrd Scholarship, which will offer tuition assistance to future linemen enrolled in the Utility Line Worker Program at York Technical College.
