He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Leroy Kennington and Nancy Gordon Kennington; his wife Karin Kennington; and his siblings, Betty Pruitt, Mary Robinson and Donald Kennington.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Kennington (Stonie) of Lake Wylie, SC, Ginger Sluder (Phil) of Rock Hill and Michelle Tynan (Marty) of Charlotte, NC; and his brother Gordon Kennington of Kershaw, SC.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
