Joyce Slatton Elder Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Slatton Elder of Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on February 13, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ila Slatton and Grady Slatton; and her brother James Ernest Slatton. She is survived by: her husband William H. Elder, Sr.; her children, William H. "Buzzy" Elder, Jr. (Mary-Libby), Janie Cauthen (Chuck) and Betsy Hollis; her sister Jane Slatton Rutledge; and her caregiver Brenda Duncan. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and their spouses, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Providence Care, 500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
