He was predeceased by: his parents, James Isaac Shackelford and Daisey LaCount Shackelford. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Tysinger Shackelford; his son Joey Shackelford, Jr.; his wife Marie of Tammy; and also, Dewitt Shackelford of Tammy, Timothy Shackelford of Tammy and Daniel Shackelford of Tammy. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
