He was predeceased by: his parents, James Adkins and Florence Adkins; and his brother Thomas Adkins. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his sons, Jack Adkins (Missy) and Ray Adkins; his grandchildren, Nick Adkins (Heather), April Taylor (Michael), Brandon Adkins (Kimmi) and John Adkins; and his siblings, Margaret Gomes (Stan), Linda Cook (Darryl) and Bill Adkins (Debra).
