He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Bernard Fischer and Frances Hadden Fischer; and his brothers-in-law, David A. Mitchell and Kenneth Nolan Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Janet Mitchell Fischer; his children, Kim Fischer of Rock Hill and James Allen "Al" Fischer, Jr. (Susan) of Rock Hill; his grandson James Allen "Jay" Fischer, III of Rock Hill; and his sister-in-law Ann Kelly of West Columbia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
