He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Jean Rabon Buchanan; his parents, Leland Buchanan and Etheleen Buchanan; his siblings, Colleen Buchanan and Ben Buchanan; his grandson Richard Crank, Jr.; his son-in-law Jack Tilley; and his stepson Tim Leggett.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Tilley and Susan Crank; his siblings, Etheleen "Lee" Lackey (Oren) and George Buchanan (Donna); his son Kendal Buchanan; his grandchildren, Wendy Towery, Lisa Melton, Crystal Peace and Talia Geery; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, Braylon, Blake, Daniel, Ivie, Scottie Marie, Trevor, Katelyn, Kimarra, Kiarrah, Kyleigh, Kingston, Ricky, Ebonie, Adalyn Kate, Melton, Jordan and Keani Bridges.
Jerry's passion was the Wounded Warrior Project for anyone who would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers.
