He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack H. Armstrong and Lettie Waters Manning; and his stepsister Phillis Barbee. He is survived by: his children, Brian K. Armstrong of Winston-Salem, NC, Robert H. "Robbie" Armstrong of Indian Trail, NC and Michelle Leigh "Shelly" Armstrong of Indian Trail, NC; his stepchildren, Lynn Clarke of Wagener, SC and Steve Carver of Wagener, SC; his brothers, Robert H. Armstrong of Stanley, NC, Mack H. Armstrong of Atlanta, GA and Phil Armstrong of Mount Holly, NC; and his granddaughter Nytasha Allbritton of Boise, ID. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Armstrong's name to Southside Baptist Church, Missions, 1229 S. Anderson Rd., Rock Hill, SC, 29730.
