It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Moore of Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jay departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jay may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jay leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice Moore and Margureite Mason Moore. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ellen Smith Moore; his children, John Moore (Anne Gessner) and Julie Moore Lindsey; his siblings, Dick, Bill, Tim Moore (Barb) and Jeanine Hansen (Ken); and his grandchildren, Micah Lindsey, Mason Lindsey, Renner and Russell Moore. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Park Pointe Village Community (3025 Chesbrough Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
