He is survived by: his parents, Harold Gene Vess and Margaret "Becky" Hicks Vess; his children, Breanna Lessmeister-Vess and Ashton Vess; his sister Angela Covington (Clay); his nephews, Liam Covington and Kellan Covington; and his godmother Everine Brooks.
