He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bunyan Lowe, Sr. and Lena Mae Ransom Lowe; and his brothers, John and Robert "Robbie" Wayne Lowe. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Covington Lowe; his children, Julie Diane Lowe and James Daniel "Danny" Lowe, Jr. of Portsmouth, VA; his sister Mary Alice Wise of Fayetteville, NC; his granddaughter Gabrielle Renee "Gabby" Lowe of Portsmouth, VA; and his children, Rowdy and Lucy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any Memorials be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
