He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Vargos and Nancy W. Vargos; and his siblings, Samuel S. Vargos, Joseph E. Vargos, Jr. and Nancy V. Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gainey Vargos; and his sister Dorothy V. Garner of Watkinsonville, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
