He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Warren Higginbotham and Rosa Higginbotham (Hinkle); his siblings, Arnett, Herbert, Billie, Houston Ray, Mary, Marie, Gladys Carol, Hilma and Margie; his daughter Lisa Jo Bowman; his grandson Travis Holcomb; and his son-in-law John Stuart Holladay.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Higginbotham (Malay); his children, Marilyn Yvonne Hypes (David) of Fort Mill, Kimberly Dawn Buchanan (Tony) of Fort Mill, Jeffrey Keith Higginbotham (Kathleen) of Rock Hill and Lora Ann Holladay (Jack) of Rock Hill; his adoptive son Sal; his grandchildren, Paul and Sherri Peterson; and also Shirley Nolan of Bear, Delaware.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous "Favorite" nieces and nephews.
