He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Bynum Blackmon and Naomi Alva Bowers Blackmon; and his siblings, Erskine B. Blackmon and Melba Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Imogene Ogburn Blackmon of Rock Hill, S. C.; his children, Michael E. Blackmon (Carol Ann) of Greenville, S. C. and Pamela B. Whitley (Keith) of Clover, S. C.; and his grandsons, John Whitley (Melissa) of Clover, S. C., Daniel Blackmon (Alyssa) of Easley, S. C. and Willis Whitley (Jessica) of Clover, S. C.. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
