It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Meitzler Reid Sr. (Rock Hill, South Carolina), born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maybelle Gertrude Gaumer Meitzler and William Henry Pitcher Reid; and his son Brian Reid. He is survived by: his wife Joan Taylor Reid; his sister Nancy Reid Watts of Leonardtown, MD; his children, Deborah Oldewurtel (Dave) of West Virginia, Herbert M. Reid, Jr. (Annie) of Florida, Jeffrey Reid of Maryland and Shannon Morgan (Chris) of Maryland; and his stepchildren, Angela Sheets, Carolyn Sutter and Robert Sutter. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
