He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shelton and Ester Shipman Shelton; his wife Roberta Shelton; and his siblings, Ray, Jack, Bud and Doris.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Alan "Chuck" Shelton (Carole) of Tampa and Harold Mitchel "Mitch" Shelton (Kelly) of Rock Hill; his grandson Ryan Nelson Shelton of Rock Hill; and his siblings, William Shelton of Charlotte, NC and Marie Lineberger of Alexis, NC.
