He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W Hampton and Rebecca Isenhour Hampton; and his sister-in-law Beverly Cauthen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Williford Hampton; and his brothers, Worth Hampton (Amie) of King, NC and Robert Hampton of Clio, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Hampton's name to Providence Care Hospice 500 Lakeshore Parkway, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
