It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gennive Williams Cook of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Edgemoor, South Carolina, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Roland Williams and Viola Strickland Williams; her husband Melvin Cook; her son Sonny Cook; her grandsons, Todd Upchurch and Tony Long; and her siblings, Dorothy Carter, Violet Caudle Thompson, Elaine Trull and Jimmy Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Upchurch (Tommy), Janice Lindsay (David), Donna Cook, Keith Cook, Renae Stewart (Bo) and Julie Ann Commander; and her sisters, Lucille Bryant (David) and Debbie Beacham (Buddy). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and was expecting her first great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donation may be made to New Vision Free Will Baptist Church.
