He is survived by: his wife Elaine Lawing; his children, David Lawing (Missy), Cassandra Long (James) and Daniel Lawing; his stepsons, Christopher Spears and James Spears; his grandchildren, Ricky Shirley (Tara) and Kayla Fuller (Justin); his children, James Olis, Joanne, Alex Long and Jayden Isenhour; his great grandchild Madison Shirley; his grandchildren, Everly, Addilynn and Grayson Fuller; his siblings, Donald Lawing (Wanda), Randy Lawing, Brenda White (Pete) and Wanda Simmons; his mother-in-law Agnes Heydinger; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Hogue and Karen Hageman (Ed); his uncles, Vernon Lawing (Betty), Olis Lawing (Joyce) and Donald Wells; his aunt Pamela Killen (Dave); his stepdaughter Holly Stewart; his son Christy McGirt (Bobby); his grandchildren, Steven and Christina McGirt; and also, Alyssa (Alex) and Austin. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
