She was predeceased by: her parents, William Onward Smart and Christine Freeman Smart. She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Georgette Bell (Eric), Rebecca Christopher (Johnny) and Suzanne Ashworth (Steven); her grandchildren, Johnathan, Michaela, Hannah, Harley and Jacob; and her brothers, William Smart (Kathy) and Frank Smart (Jean).

Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or to Mount Holly Elementary School.
