He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Jackson Mitchum and Claudia Dixon Mitchum; and his son Robert Mitchum. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Logan Mitchum; his children, Johnny Mitchum (Stephanie), Scottie Patton, Edward Mitchum, Jr., Wesley Mitchum, Steve Mitchum (Bonnie), Marty Mitchum (Sandy), Darryl Mitchum, Tommy Mitchum, Lesley Mitchell (Austin), Paris Mitchum and London Mitchum; and his siblings, Sylvia Mitchum and Charlie Mitchum. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
