She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Griffin Sauls and Eileen Lennox Sauls. She is survived by: her husband Lennin Nichols; her children, Amy Pfaff of Charlotte, Kathy Williams of Fort Lawn, Nancy Sturgis (Dale) of Rock Hill and Dale Nichols (Nancy) of Fort Mill; and her sisters, Helene Armstrong of Memphis, TN and Martha Tingley of Sorrento, FL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., Charlotte, NC 28202 or to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden St., Columbia, SC 29201.
