She was predeceased by: her father Paul Stephenson; her husband Charles McCorkle; her son-in-law Benny Ellis; and her brothers, Odell Helms and George Hermanson.
She is survived by: her children, Betty McCorkle Ellis and Charles "Joe" McCorkle Jr.; her grandchildren, Nichole Ellis, Ben Ellis (Samantha), Danyelle McCorkle Favali (Mason) and Dale McCorkle; her great grandchildren, Emily Devinney of Indian Land, SC, Marley Devinney of Indian Land, SC and Lucas Ellis of Indian Land, SC; and her sisters, Betty Flowers of Pineville, NC and Jeannette Miles of Columbia, SC..
