He is survived by: his wife Sue Carlton Whitley; his children, Ellen Angelina Whitley McKinnon (William) of Rock Hill, SC, Dorothy Whitley Linker (Luke) of Boiling Springs, SC and Paul Davidson Whitley (Katie) of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Bristol, Isabelle, James Anderson, Abigail and Elspeth; his sister Jo Ann Whitley Worley (Bill) of Vernon, FL; his sister-in-law Jan Smithson Carlton of Franklin, TN; and his nieces and nephews, Paul, Will, Rusty, Carl, Lauren, Caroline, Gail and Sandy.
