He was predeceased by: his son Tony Safko; and his parents, Donald Safko and Helen Gavelek Safko. He is survived by: his wife Rose Safko; his children, Col. Michael Safko (Kendra) of Colorado Springs, CO, Darrel J. Safko (Jacy) of Murfreesboro, TN and Donna Forster (Warren) of Rock Hill, SC; and his brothers, Sheldon Safko (Masa) of Tigard, OR and Lonn Safko (Debbie) of Garretsville, OH. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
