He is survived by: his wife Helen H. Matthews of Rock Hill, SC; his son Curtis J. Matthews, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Andrew Matthews (Caitlin) of Greenville, SC, William Matthews (Shanel) of Columbia, SC, Sarah Cummings (Joe) of Greenville, SC, Ivy Crocket (Joe) of Albuquerque, NM, Stennett Price (Stacy) of Middleton, TN and Anna Price of Florence, AL. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
