He is survived by: his children, Brenda Ann Legg (Robert), Susan Lynn Papp (Gary), Gail Magyar (Gary), Katharine Taylor and Christi Blue (Timothy); his brother Edward Young (Virginia); his grandchildren, Lori Small (Brad), Robert Legg, Jr. (Cory), Richard Papp (Mary), Michael Papp, Gary Magyar, Jr. (Amanda), Brian Magyar (Gracie), Robert Taylor III (Deana), Steven Blue (Katie), Dana Blue, Troy Blue (Courtney) and Austin Blue; and his foster children, Luther McCord, Brenda Rivera and Larry Asbill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post#0172 in Charles W. Young's name.
