He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Cauthen and Louise Thompson Cauthen; and his wife Alene J. Cauthen. He is survived by: his sons, Randy (Carol) of Lancaster and Ray of Edge Moor; his grandchildren, Courtney Marshall (Patrick), Ashley Cauthen, Mallory Cauthen, Sydney Cauthen, Buster Cauthen, Kandis Faile (Justin), Sierra Cauthen and Cheyenne Cauthen; and his siblings, Ed Cauthen (Barbara) and Lucy Perry. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
