We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2022, at the age of 98, Alma McCarter Strait of Rock Hill, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Jackson McCarter and Irene Davidson McCarter; her husband Luther Strait; her son Wylie Strait; her son-in-law Mike Lewis; and her siblings, Paul McCarter, Maxie McCarter and Louise McCarter Jamieson.
She is survived by: her daughter Laura Strait Lewis; her daughter-in-law Laurie Strait; her grandsons, Ross Strait (Mirandia) and Robert Strait (Emily Long); her great grandchildren, Pierce and Briar Strait; her siblings, Ruby McCarter, Margie McCarter and Marion McCarter (Margie); her adoptive daughter Janet Timmons Price; and her granddaughter Brandi Eavenson (Chris).
