She was predeceased by: her husband Elvin Dantzler Gunter; and her parents, Maggie Shannon and Joseph Albert. She is survived by: her children, Carol Hall (Frank) of Ridgeway, Joyce McLean (Cecil) of Ridgeway, Sam Gunter of Ridgeway, Mary Ann Gunter (Mark Edenfield) of Ridgeway and Don Gunter (Mary Jim) of Winnsboro; her grandchildren, Donna Boulware, Lauri Ferguson, Edward Gunter, Frankie Hall and Bubba McLean; her great grandchildren, Emily Baccomo, James Boulware, Josh, Ryan Padgett, Nathan, Aaron, Lucas Hall, Kaila and Anna Grace McLean; and her great great grandchildren, Jay and Ben Baccomo.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Ridgeway (200 Valencia Rd, Ridgeway, SC 29130). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
