He is survived by: his wife Janet Harris Powell; his children, Jodie Powell Burkett (Eric) and John Randall "Randy" Powell, II (Bridgette); his grandchildren, Olivia, Julia, Joshua, Colton and Grayson; and his close friend Gene Schofield. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
