She was predeceased by: her parents, James Calhoun and Lena Pauline Perry Cooper; her husband Phillp W. Nichols; her son Phillip W. Nichols, Jr.; her in-laws, Henry and Evelyn Nichols; her son-in-law Francis Max Gutierrez, Jr.; her grandson-in-law Martin Timms; her siblings, Vera Urbano, June Rosso, Ann Miller, Isabelle Littleton, Claudie Cooper, Bert Cooper and Paul Cooper; and her nieces and nephews, Martha Gamache, Linda Cooper, Bobby and Teddy Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Phyllis Nichols Gutierrez and Beth Nichols Collins (Brett); her granddaughters, Nicole Collins Hunter (Croom) and Courtney Collins Timms; and her great grandchildren, Addison Taylor Collins and Elizabeth Thomas Hunter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Helen's memory to Ridgeway First Baptist Church or Fairfield County Council on Aging.
