It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gilbert Redford Outen of Ridgeway, South Carolina, born in Kershaw, South Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Redford and Bleeka Talbert Outen; his wife Edna Jean Parkman Outen; and his siblings, Ruby Outen, Wilma Truesdale, Bernice Payne, Lois Taylor, Francis Phillips, Faye Johnson, Willie Outen and James T. "Bud" Outen.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Debbie; his children, Gloria Twitty (Darrell), Mike Evans (Debbie) and George Evans; and his sister Sadie Phillips (Joe). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
