He is survived by: his son George Alexander Kennedy III; his stepchildren, Janice Bennett (David) and Keith Jennings (Alison); his grandchildren, Kendall Walsh (Brandon) and Kayla Sloop; his great grandchildren, Brawley Sloop, McClaine Walsh and Gunnar Walsh; his brother-in-law Larry Collins (Ruth Anne); his niece Larianne Collins; and his brothers, Oscar Kennedy and Doug Kennedy.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Shives Funeral Home (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
