He was predeceased by: his parents, James Routh Mixson, Sr. and Gladys Peeples Mixson; his brother James R. Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Judy Mixson, Edward Clements and Johnny Taylor; and his nephew Jerry Balkom.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Mixson (Judie), Kathryn Clements, Marcia Martinez (Albert) and Rosemary Taylor; and his uncle Robert Peeples. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
