We bid farewell to Joseph L. Rael of Ridgeland, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 10, 2025 at the age of 87. Joseph touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Abenicio Rael and Rosana Medina Rael; his siblings, Abenicio I. Rael, Thomas Rael and Ernestine Harmon; and his son John.
He is survived by: his wife Erdine Gagnon of Caribou, ME.; his children, Lynn Wilczynski of Varnville, SC, Wanda Kane (Robert) of Perkinston, MS, Joseph L. Rael, Jr. (Jayme) of Woodstock and Adam Rael of Hampton, SC; and his siblings, Jake, Agnes and Josephine. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Anthony's Catholic Church (10128 S Jacob Smart Blvd, Ridgeland, SC 29936).
