She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Short and Betty Lou Short. She is survived by: her children, Nicole McConnell, Sylvan T. Jobe, Billy J. McConnell and Alex McConnell; her siblings, Jack Short, Jr. and Carolyn Gartin; and her son Brinsley Andrew Ellis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Alex McConnell.
