He is survived by: his wife Ovester Rivers Mitchell; his children, Carl L. Mitchell (Cassandra), Reginald R. Mitchell (Andrea), Carol D Holmes (McArthur), Barbara Y. Prescott (Melvin) and Jestine D. Mitchell; his stepdaughter-in-law Felicia Rivers; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Joyce Travis, Georgia Orr, Dave Rivers, Jr., Kenneth Rivers and Larry Rivers (Jackie). He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, one step great granddaughter.
Always remember to wear a mask, you protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
