He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Rufus P. Toomer, Sr.; his brother Rufus P. Toomer, Jr. (Deborah); and his daughters, Sharon Mervin and Penny Smalls (Larry).
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church (665 Mitchellville Rd, Ridgeland, SC 29936). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the King Cemetery. Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
