He is survived by: his wife Sandy Platts of Ridge Spring; and his children, Becky Williams (Jason) of Lexington, Patty Brickey (Josh) of Gilbert and Daniel Platts (Ashlyn) of Lavonia, GA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two brothers; and a number of extended family.
